
Daniel Patrick Sharp, 65, of Gas City, passed away on April 6, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born in Marion, IN on September 10, 1951 to Charles and Margaret (Orr) Sharp. The third of ten children, Danny learned the value of friendship and sharing, early in life.
He graduated from Marion High School in 1971. Danny married Audra Kelly Clester on November 26, 1977.
He worked at St. Regis Paper Company and most recently at Wal-Mart.
Danny is survived by his father, Charles; siblings, Sue Ellen (Dave) Satterthwaite, Tim (Terri) Sharp, Marilee (Jeff) Cox, Peg (Tom) Keegan, Joe (Susan) Sharp, Julie (Dave) Prentice, Paula (Matt) Farmer, and Lori (DJ) Fiene; nephews and nieces, Trent (Andrea), Shawn (Jeremy), Terrence (Emily), Eric (Betty), Brian (Heidi), Bill(Traci), Cody (Christine), Lisa (Chris), Melissa, Joshua, Tod, James, Melinda (Daniel), Macy (Ben), Maggie, Caroline (Tiffany), Taylor, and Toran; many great nephews and nieces, and a few great-great nephews and nieces; aunts and uncles, Kathleen (Don) Little, Mildred (Bud) Hullinger, Dorothy Orr, and Linda Orr; and numerous more family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audra; his mother, Margaret; and his brother, Terrence.
A Celebration of Danny’s life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Reemmer Hall, Holy Family Catholic Church, 325 E North “A” Street, Gas City, IN. Friends are welcome to come and share memories and tall tales with Danny’s family. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Epilepsy Foundation of Indiana, PO Box 29422, Indianapolis, IN 46229.
We would like to thank the staff at Wesleyan Health and Rehab for the care, compassion, and friendship that they showed Danny; and to Heart to Heart Hospice for the patience, care, and compassion you gave to him and to our family. I knew dan from the computer site pal talk he was quite the character enjoyed his sense of humour and he was a good listener when someone needed to talk i know he will be sadly missed by all his friends in pal talk but my thoughts and prayers are with u all now at this time.
